The Mission
The East Coast SAV Collaborative’s mission is to bring together experts in SAV research and management from each of the U.S. East Coast states from NC to ME to share ideas and information, provide training and resources, and collaborate on efforts that bring actionable science to the forefront of our SAV management strategies. As a collaborative, we plan to address issues threatening East Coast SAV, advocate for its conservation regionally, and serve as an example of how regionally-based efforts can solve global problems.
The Vision
Increased collaboration and communication among East Coast SAV practitioners, and more effective conservation of East Coast SAV.
The Plan
Quarterly discussion sessions to evaluate SAV topics of interest and concern, share ideas and resources, and collaborate on efforts to accelerate SAV advocacy and conservation along the U.S. East Coast.
